Fedrigoni Group has announced a major investment in a state-of-the-art coating machine at its Barberà del Vallès plant, located near Barcelona. This new machine is expected to significantly enhance both production capabilities and safety standards, aligning with the Company’s commitment to innovation and its ESG goals for 2030.
The new coating machine will greatly outperform the previous model, boasting a production capacity of 83 million square meters per year. It will deliver faster speeds and greater production flexibility, representing a substantial advancement in efficiency to meet the diverse needs of the pharmaceutical & healthcare, as well as the home & personal care industries.
The new machine provides a safer, more productive alternative, offering improved performance in quality control and delivering a range of benefits to Fedrigoni’s production process. These benefits include increased productivity, enhanced safety, uniform application, and versatility.
The Barberà plant relies 100% on renewable energy, with its electricity supply certified by guarantee of origin certificates, ensuring zero emissions for Scope 2 (indirect emissions from electricity use). This initiative is part of Fedrigoni’s broader commitment to sustainable business practices and further strengthens the company’s efforts to drive environmental value.
